R.E.D. has been helping with owner held animals for many years now. This can be in a few different forms, a more long term owner held where the owner acts as a foster home for their animal until a placement is found, or more rapid or urgent rehomes are possible too. We help screen potential homes, have a special contract in cases like this, and the owner gets to help choose the new placement. Not all animals are eligible, based on behavior. R.E.D. was donated a thermal monocular to use in the pursuit of finding lost animals. This can be very useful in finding animals in a limited area, or in tighter spaces such as crawlspaces, attics, etc. The heat that the body gives off shows in the lens, and we can easier see if an animal might be there.
